Dear Mrs. Zrihen,
I am liking what I am reading for now in the book Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer I don't really like fantasy because of the fact and the bottom line of it its fake but this one book is coming alog fairly good I like it a little more than I would like just any random fantasy book.
The store takes place in an unknown land. The main character is Artemis Fowl. He is round/dynamic kind of a character. The plot started just like this, first a boy tries to steal a painting, thats all I read. The main problem is it is in a high security bank. The tone or mood of the book is not very I because, everything so far is in no way mysterious. A theme that appears in the book is that theft is not worth it. There is no moral so far in the book, because I'm not very far in. From my point of view, I can see that the robber is well prepared. The author organized the story through a time order (so far). The author’s purpose is to entertain people. His perspective is that in life, you should not take things from others.
"The pilots voice blared through the speaker. Get in here!" I picked this passage because even without reading the book you can see how badly the pilot is expressing his voice VERY emotionally.(pg. 152 last paragraph)
I used several reading strategies throughout the book. Before reading, I skimmed and scanned through this book, or I flipped through the pages looking for text features to see whether or not I would like this book. Also, someone at the book fair recommended it to me. While reading, I would quiz myself on what I read after each story and re-read parts I didn’t understand. After reading, I am still reading this book.
Some Figurative language I saw in the book: personification, simile, oxymoron, metaphor, alliteration.
I would rate this book 5 stars because at the end and middle of every page, there is interesting things that happen in the book.
P.S DO NOT COMMENT OR ELSE......
The wonderful student, Bar Peretz
Dear Bar,
ReplyDeleteWhy would you say that to the reader?
How did Artemis change during the story?
Point of view is the angle in which the story is told from.Is the author biased or not?
How is the passage important to the reader?
What were some text features that you found?
I recommend to put your apostrophes and such

DEAR BAR,
ReplyDeleteGREAT RJ BUT
HOW DID THE STRATEGIES HELP YOU?
WHO IS THE PROTAGONIST?
WHO IS THE ANTAGONIST?
WHO ARE THE FOIL?
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTER?
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART?
SINCERELY,
ERIKA
DAER JUAN,
ReplyDeleteI tried to entertain the reader by saying that just as a joke but if you do not want me to do that I wont.
He changed through out the story not that much but his character did not really change either.
The author was biased about the story because he did not give opinions.
Some text feature I found were like image titles and subtitles.
Sincerely B.P
Dear Erika,
ReplyDeleteThe strategies helped me because they encouraged me to keep on reading.
The protagonist is in my rj read next time don't skim and scan for that word it is worded differently, there is not really one antagonist and my favorite section is the beginning Artemis is my favorite character in the book.
Sincerely, B.P
