The Hunt For The Seventh

\                                                                                                             RJ # 9 10/25/11
Dear Mrs .Zrihen,
I have just finished reading the book The hunt for the seventh by Christine Morton-Shaw. This Book is very interesting int has parts that just make you attracted to the book and you just do not want to put it down I recommend this book a lot especially if you are the kind of person that likes attractive stories or books.
"I am looking for the seventh, boom, boom,
boom a voice said in the house."
I think this passage means a lot it had everything in in the conflict and lots of other things it is a very  meaningful  passage in the book or story.
The two strategies before I read the book were read the literary elements and skim and scan the main topics and text features. The two strategies during reading was reread parts I do not understand, another thing was parts I had difficulty   with like definitions and things like that so I would take the dictionary out and find the meaning of it.
After reading I tested myself to see if I understood the book, and I compared to a different book I read that is like that same book which is also a mystery like this one.
The genre of this book is of course Mystery. The p.o.o is really unidentified and the characters are very round dynamic not much really I can tell about the literary elements. The tone is very mystical, the mood is very intense, the authors purpose is to tell.
I would justify/rate this/book a 10/10 because it was just wonderful and had everything in it with lots of details.

Abraham Lincoln

RJ #8 10/18/11
I have just finished reading the book Abraham Lincoln It is a great book I loved every little part of it.I learned a lot from this book big things not like he was the 16th president of the united  states but also how hard his life was as he grew up he only had one year of learning and worked by the age of 8 years old on his dads farm he helped his dad a lot.
"He will be remembered from all the things he did because everything he did from a homework assignment  all  the  way to free the slaves he went above and  beyond on each task that he did and what he was assigned to do in memory of great Abe"  LAST PG OF BOOK
I picked this passage because just by looking at it, it was very emotional so imagine how much it pulled my attention like a cliff-hanger.
The genre of this book is biography, the main idea of this book is Abraham Lincoln's life, the topic of this book is Abraham Lincoln.  Another title I would give this book is "Abe you the man",. because he was a absolute leader.  The pattern of organization is identify and explain. The message the author is trying send is everybody can make a big impact on the world no matter what race you actually are. Some text features I found were nice illustration of where he lived and some very cool photographs of him.
I would rate thi book a ten out of 10 because it was just outstanding you have to read the book to understand what I am saying.

             Sincerely, B.P

ABRAHAM LINCOLN

     Dear, Mrs.Zrihen                    RJ#7 702  10/11/11
I am currently reading the book Abraham Lincoln by Ronald White I am loving this book because it is giving me information I did not expect a lot. This book includes information from how Lincoln was around the house all the way to who he was personally and all the hard parts he went through in life.Abraham Lincoln lived a life as a boy who works for his parents. He was a very nice boy in his childhood and in his teens.
I used many strategies throughout before reading I looked for literary elements and I skim and scanned for text features. During,.reading I reread parts I did not understand and I summarized every chapter to my-self. After reading the book I tried to compare it to a different book I have have about Abraham Lincoln, and after reading I also made names for the chapters because they did not have any.
The genre of this book is biography, the topic is Abraham Lincoln, and the main idea is Abraham Lincoln's life as he grew up. Three supporting details were he worked hard, he was a good kid & , he had some issues as he grew up almost like every kid back then. The elements in this story are very different. The pattern of organization is identify and explain. The authors purpose informational. A response I used was I found out how hard Abraham lived a hard life.
I would rate this book a 10 out of 10 for now because it is pretty well especially the way it is written.
I did not write a long RJ   because I am not done with the book.
